Referees. As far as we know, no other fishing tournament has one. And that's really not a brain stumper because no other fishing tournament needs one. But UMF is different. Without the services of Referee Mark Randolph, Ultimate Match Fishing would be completely out of control. According to "THE REF", "My job is simple. I watch the anglers and lie in wait until one makes a stupid mistake, then I get to do what I love more than anything in this world. I fire them up as loudly as I can. Nothing gives me more joy and pleasure than blowing the whistle and watching a guy come right out of his shoes. Rick Clunn, Boyd Duckett, Andy Morgan, Mark Davis, I don't really care who you are. If you cast across the line, if you land a fish over the line, if you simply cross the line with your rod in hand then I will call you. You can argue, whine, moan, throw a fit. Doesn't matter. I'm the final word, period. I'm the judge, the jury, and if need be, the executioner. And why even bother? After all, in 4 seasons, I haven't missed or made a bad call yet. And I'm really looking forward to this season. Byron Velvick...please! Dave Lefebre? I'll have him tied in knots in the first two minutes. Andy Morgan? Yeah, I'm impressed...NOT! Boyd Duckett? I should light him up just because of the red shoes. This season is going to be fun...really fun!
