First Round Matches
First Round UMF Matches will be held on Lake Sidney Lanier in Buford, Georgia. The matches are single elimination only. The match winners will advance to the Title Round on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas
M1- Roland Martin vs. Harold Allen
In a sport where reputations are made with the rod and reel, Roland Martin has established his credentials as an icon of competitive bass fishing. Now, he’ll put that reputation on the line against veteran Texas pro Harold Allen.
M2- Andy Morgan vs. Dan Morehead
Anglers call it having a hot hand. If that’s the case, then Andy Morgan is on fire. As one of the top anglers in the nation, he’ll enter the ring against long-time friend and FLW foe Dan Morehead. Can Morehead douse the flames, or will Morgan keep on smoking?
M3- David Walker vs. Scott Martin
Big stringers have been David Walker’s calling card for the past several seasons, and today, this FLW Series Angler of the Year will need to bring his “A” game against fellow pro Scott Martin who also knows a thing or two about landing big fish. It’s an all FLW Battle Royal on Lake Lanier
M4- Boyd Duckett vs. Ish Monroe
Returning champ Boyd Duckett begins his quest to become the first 2-time UMF title winner. His first hurdle…crafty California pro Ish Monroe; Will “The Duck” hoist his second championship belt or will Ish Monroe end his reign with a Lake Lanier beat down
M5- Mark Davis vs. Byron Velvick
Elite Series pro Byron Velvick is right at home in front of the camera, but we wonder how comfortable he’ll be with 4-time Angler of the Year Mark Davis looking on from the same boat? These two heavyweights are set to do battle on Lake Lanier
M6- Dave LeFebre vs. Kelly Jordon
The FLW and BASS Elite Series are the two premier tours in the nation, and today, two of the top anglers from each organization will square off as the FLW’s Dave Lefebre gets set to go toe-to-toe with Elite Series Pro Kelly Jordon. Take the phone off of the hook and lock the doors, because this epic battle will be one for the history books!
