Ultimate Match Fishing Season 4- Outdoor Channel - Friday Nights at 9pm
Boyd Duckett, Roland Martin, David Walker, Scott Martin, Ish Monroe, Andy Morgan, Byron Velvick, Dan Morehead , Harold Allen, Kelly Jordon, Mark Davis and Dave Lefebre make up the 2008 UMF roster of pro bass anglers.
BOYD DUCKETT- Coming off one of the most impressive years in bass fishing, Boyd won the '07 Classic, a Bassmaster E50, and his incredible comeback against Kelly Jordon in the 2007 UMF Title Match saw him storm back from a 20+ pound deficit to claim the Championship. This year, Boyd Duckett will look to become the first 2-time UMF winner.
KELLY JORDON- After a stunning upset in the '07 UMF Title Match that saw him come just .04 of a pound short of Boyd Duckett, Jordon returns in 2008 with one goal in mind...to claim the UMF Title Belt. With several Bassmaster Elite Series Titles, he definitley has the skills and the competitive desire to do just that!
ROLAND MARTIN- Legend. Icon. You name it and Roland Martin has done it. The Great American Angler has seeled his legacy as one of the greatest anglers in the history of the sport. With 9 Angler of the Year titles and his induction into the IGFA Hall of Fame, Roland Martin is the face of professional bass fishing.
HAROLD ALLEN- Another legendary angler, Harold Allen has been fishing professionally for well over 30 years. This Texas native has built a bass fishing resume that stands among the greats of all time. Harold continues to be revered by veterans and the new school of pro anglers from coast to coast.
ANDY MORGAN- This Tennessee native is considered among the top 5 pro bass anglers competing in the sport today. As one of the rising stars on the FLW Tour, Andy Morgan is a true threat to win any competition he enters.
SCOTT MARTIN- Even though Scott is the son of legendary angler Roland Martin, he has created his own identity as one of the top pro anglers on the FLW Tour. His recent Tour victory on Fort Loudoun Lake is evidence to his skill, perseverence and desire to be a champion in his own right.
ISH MONROE- This California pro has exploded on the bass fishing scene in recent years with his angling talent, charisma and competitiveness. The winner of the Lake Amistad Elite Series event in 2007, Ish continues his rise up the ladder of great professional bass anglers this season on UMF.
MARK DAVIS- With a Bassmaster Classic Championship and 4 Angler of the Year titles under his belt, Mark Davis has found a place among the greats of professional bass anglers. Today, Davis continues to compete at the highest level of the sport and his return to the Bassmaster Elite Series in 2008 finds him once again in the running for another Angler of the Year Title. A veteran of the Season 1 of Ultimate Match Fishing that saw him lose in the first round to Dean Rojas, Davis returns in Season 4 to make amends.
BYRON VELVICK- If you only know Byron's name from "The Batchelor", then you haven't been paying much attention to professional bass angling. Byron Velvick has been on a hot streak of late, winning the Elite Series Wildcard event and narrowly losing the Lake Falcon Elite Series title to Paul Elias this season.
DAVID WALKER- David Walker is the reigning FLW Eastern Series Angler of the Year and has an FLW Tour Angler of the Year Title (1999) on his growing resume. Known for his incredible knack for finding fish that other anglers overlook, Walker is a legitimate threat to take home the UMF title.
DAN MOREHEAD- This Paducah, Kentucky native son is widely considered one of the most popular anglers on the FLW Tour. His sense of humor is matched only by his angling skill and competitive nature. But don't let his jovial ways fool you. When Dan Morehead has a fishing rod in hand, he can laod the boat with big fish faster than you can chuckle at one of his jokes.
DAVE LEFEBRE- Dave Lefebre returns in 2008 after a dissapointing performance in the first round against Anthony Gagliardi on Lake Guntersville in 2007. Calling that match the worst day he had ever spent on the water, we decided to let Dave take a shot at redemption this season. If motivation is a factor, then Dave Lefebre has to be considered one of the favorites to win this competition, just as he's automatically considered a favorite to win any FLW event he enters. JOE THOMAS- HOST: Joe Thomas returns as the host and commentator of Ultimate Match Fishing in 2008. With over 25 years of pro bass angling experience on both the FLW Tour and the Bassmaster Elite Series, Thomas brings a unique perspective to the competition having competed along side each of the UMF competitors for years. Thomas' background and experience make him perfectly suited give an honest analysis of each UMF match.
